Order V, Rule 15.
Where service may be on adult member of defendant’s family:
Where in any suit the defendant cannot be found and has no agent empowered to accept service of the summons on his behalf, service may be made on any adult member of the family of the defendant who is residing with him.
Explanation:
A servant is not a member of the family within the meaning of this rule.

যেক্ষেত্রে বিবাদীর পরিবারের কোন প্রাপ্ত বয়স্ক সদস্যদের উপর সমন জারি করা যেতে পারেঃ
বিবাদীকে যদি কোন মোকদ্দমায় না পাওয়া যায় এবং সমন গ্রহণের ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত তার কোন প্রতিনিধি তার পক্ষে যদি বর্তমান না থাকে, তবে বিবাদীর সাথে বসবাস করে, তার পরিবারের এরূপ যে কোন প্রাপ্ত বয়স্ক লোকের উপর সমন জারি করা যাবে।
ব্যাখ্যাঃ
অত্র বিধির অর্থ অনুযায়ী কোন ভৃত্য পরিবারের সদস্য বলে গণ্য হবে না।
